Woman Killed in Highway 108 Collision in Oakdale Identified

Oakdale, California – A woman killed in an Oakdale car accident on Highway 108 near Mondo lane Sunday evening,  has been identified as Mikayla Agee, 26, an Oakdale resident.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Agee was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Impala eastbound on Highway 108 when, for unknown reasons, she lost control of her vehicle and went off the roadway.

The Impala then slid sideways across the highway into the westbound lane, directly into the path of a 2014 Freightliner truck, driven by Mark Layman 57, Demorest. The truck crashed into the passenger side of the Impala, and the driver was pinned inside.
The CHP said the collision occurred at around 6:15 p.m. on October 25.

Following the impact of the crash, Agee was trapped inside her car and was extricated by fire personnel. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Layman and his passenger, Allyson Layman, 63, of Demorest, suffered minor injuries.
No other details regarding the crash were available.
CHP is investigating the collision.

We have numerous other 6-figure settlements within 30 days. While these results are atypical and do not predict future outcomes, justice in these cases helped bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the families.”
