Woman Killed in Antioch Bicycle Accident on James Donlon Boulevard Identified

Antioch, California – The Contra County coroner’s office has identified Amy Day,57, of Antioch, as the woman who was killed in an Antioch bicycle accident on James Donlon Boulevard, Monday morning.

As per the police report, Day was struck by a vehicle, for unknown reasons, while riding her bike near G Street.

The incident happened at around 8:21 a.m. on October 12.

Authorities responded to the crash and found Day with severe head injuries.

Day was rushed to the hospital, where she later died of her injuries, police said.

The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Police believe alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the crash.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
