Paul Tynon Killed in Big Rig Accident at Meridian Parkway and Van Buren Boulevard in Riverside

Riverside, California– Paul Tynon, 53, a Moreno resident, is the man who was killed in a Riverside traffic collision at the intersection of at Meridian Parkway and Van Buren Boulevard, Wednesday morning.
Authorities said the accident involving a big rig and an SUV was reported at around 7:25 a.m. on October 7.
According to the California Highway Patrol report, the cause of the collision was not immediately determined, but the semi-truck was jackknifed after the crash.
Tynon was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by Riverside Fire Department paramedics who responded to the collision a few minutes later.
The semi-truck driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment.
Police shut down the No. 4 lane of Van Buren Boulevard as the crews worked to remove the damaged semi and its loads from the road.
The roadway remained closed for about three hours.
Further details about the accident were not provided.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
