Sarah Jarrell-Worden Among 2 Killed in Victorville Car Accident on Palmdale Road and Cobalt Road

Victorville, California – Sarah Jane Jarrell-Worden, 23, of Victorville, was among two people who were killed in a Victorville collision between a 2001 black Ford Explorer and a 2006 white Hyundai Tiburon on Saturday, according to a local news source.

Shortly before 2:18 a.m. October 3, deputies said the Ford was heading west on Palmdale Road when it collided with the Hyundai, which was heading north on Cobalt Road and failed to stop for a red light.

Jarrell-Worden, who was a passenger in the Hyundai, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver, Jacob Michael Phillips-Short, 29, of Victorville, was extricated by the Victorville Fire Department.

Phillips-Short was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Ford, Reggie Eugene Sanders, a 58-year-old transient, was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

The crash caused a closure of Palmdale Road, west of Amethyst Road as officials worked at the scene.

After the accident, authorities said Sanders would be booked into jail on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. However, on Tuesday authorities determined that Sanders was not at fault in the accident. He was expected to be released from custody after the findings.

The collision is under investigation.

“Usually, clients hire me immediately after their first consultation because they quickly figure out that I will treat them like family. I lift a weight off their shoulders immediately. That is my job. We simply leave no stone unturned – period. We go after everyone and everything. There is no other way to ensure justice,” Mr. Khodaverdian states.

While Mr. Khodaverdian does not represent any of the parties involved in this incident, he has recovered over $100 million for thousands of injury victims and their families. “In one case, we were able to recover a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim killed by a negligent driver. We have numerous other 6-figure settlements within 30 days. While these results are atypical and do not predict future outcomes, justice in these cases helped bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the families.”
