Carolyn Horton Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Lancaster

Lancaster, California – The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has identified the rider who was killed in a Lancaster motorcycle collision on Antelope Valley (14) Freeway Thursday afternoon, as Carolyn Horton, 83, of Rosamond.

Horton was riding a 1997 Honda Goldwing Trike southbound on 14 Freeway, at about 65 to 70 miles per hour, directly behind a 2007 Mercedes Benz.

The California Highway Patrol said the Mercedes slowed down for traffic in the No. 2 lane, and Horton could not stop in time.

Horton slammed into the back of the Mercedes and she was ejected from her bike due to the impact of the collision. She was declared deceased at the scene.

The Mercedes driver, Breania Williams, 27, and her 3-week-old infant, Deijohn Fenix Jr., Palmdale residents, were not injured.

Police believe alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with additional information about the accident is asked to call  Antelope Valley CHP Office at  (661-948-854).

“Usually, clients hire me immediately after their first consultation because they quickly figure out that I will treat them like family. I lift a weight off their shoulders immediately. That is my job. We simply leave no stone unturned – period. We go after everyone and everything. There is no other way to ensure justice,” Mr. Khodaverdian states.

While Mr. Khodaverdian does not represent any of the parties involved in this incident, he has recovered over $100 million for thousands of injury victims and their families. “In one case, we were able to recover a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim killed by a negligent driver. We have numerous other 6-figure settlements within 30 days. While these results are atypical and do not predict future outcomes, justice in these cases helped bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the families.”
