Long Beach, California – Mario Medrano, 31, of Norwalk, was arrested following a suspected DUI Long Beach crash that left a 30-year-old Los Angeles man dead on Tuesday evening, according to authorities.

Six other people were injured in the accident that occurred shortly before 5 p.m. September 29, on the Pacific Coast Highway.

Police believe Medrano was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima at a high rate of speed southbound on PCH when he drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided with a northbound 1994 Nissan truck driven by a 62-year-old resident of Long Beach.

He then continued traveling southbound and collided with a northbound 2010 Toyota Prius .

The force of the second collision pushed the Prius into the southbound lanes and it was hit by a southbound 2008 Honda Pilot.

Three occupants in the Nissan Altima were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The fourth party, identified as the Los Angeles man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The two occupants of the Prius and the lone person in the Honda were all hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries.

Police arrested Medrano on suspicion of driving under the influence and murder. He was booked in jail on a $2 million bail.

The authorities are investigating the incident.

Swift action by an intelligent and experienced attorney is imperative in order to preserve evidence, interview witnesses and immediately begin pursuing any and all responsible parties.”

“Usually, clients hire me immediately after their first consultation because they quickly figure out that I will treat them like family. I lift a weight off their shoulders immediately. That is my job. We simply leave no stone unturned – period. We go after everyone and everything. There is no other way to ensure justice,” Mr. Khodaverdian states.

While Mr. Khodaverdian does not represent any of the parties involved in this incident, he has recovered over $100 million for thousands of injury victims and their families. “In one case, we were able to recover a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim killed by a negligent driver. We have numerous other 6-figure settlements within 30 days. While these results are atypical and do not predict future outcomes, justice in these cases helped bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the families.”
