Maria Jauregui Killed in San Jose Crash on Alum Rock Avenue

San Jose, California – Maria Lordes Garcia Jauregui, 52, of San Jose has been identified as the passenger who died alongside a driver following a San Jose car accident Sunday morning, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office.

The crash took place on Alum Rock Avenue near Alexander Avenue just before 8:15 a.m. September 27.

Authorities said a 2007 white work van was traveling west on Alum Rock Avenue at a high rate of speed when it entered the intersection of Alexander Avenue against a solid red light.

The van collided with a 2002 red Nissan Maxima, driven southbound on Alexander Avenue by Galdino Limon Agredano, 43, of San Jose.

Agredano was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Jauregui was a passenger in Nissan and was taken to a local hospital, where she also died from her injuries.

The driver of the van was uninjured and was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and reckless driving.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.

Arin Khodaverdian, CEO and Managing Attorney of Alpine Law Group, urges accidents victims and their families to immediately seek legal assistance. “Those who are affected by tragedy have rights, but they must act quickly in order to preserve those rights. Swift action by an intelligent and experienced attorney is imperative in order to preserve evidence, interview witnesses and immediately begin pursuing any and all responsible parties.”

“Usually, clients hire me immediately after their first consultation because they quickly figure out that I will treat them like family. I lift a weight off their shoulders immediately. That is my job. We simply leave no stone unturned – period. We go after everyone and everything. There is no other way to ensure justice,” Mr. Khodaverdian states.

While Mr. Khodaverdian does not represent any of the parties involved in this incident, he has recovered over $100 million for thousands of injury victims and their families. “In one case, we were able to recover a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim killed by a negligent driver. We have numerous other 6-figure settlements within 30 days. While these results are atypical and do not predict future outcomes, justice in these cases helped bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the families.”
