Petaluma, California – One person died and another one was injured following a Petaluma car crash that occurred in the area of Lakeville Highway and South McDowell Boulevard Wednesday evening, according to the police.

The collision occurred at around 6:30 p.m. September 22, when a black Nissan pickup truck was traveling northbound on Lakeville Highway and collided with a white Toyota sedan that had been going west on South McDowell Boulevard.

The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The identities of the involved parties were not immediately released.

Police are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
