Kyle Davis Killed in San Mateo Motorcycle crash on State Highway 92 at San Mateo-Hayward Bridge

San Mateo, California – 34-year-old Kyle Davis of Sacramento was killed in a collision that left two other people seriously injured on Sunday morning at the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened in the westbound lanes of State Highway 92 just before 10 a.m. September 20.

According to the CHP, a BMW car was disabled in the slow lane of westbound SH 92 when several motorcyclists swerved to avoid it. Two of them, however, were unable to swerve and collided with the disabled car.

One motorcycle rider was ejected by the impact and landed in the San Francisco Bay.

The U.S. Coast Guard responded to the incident and recovered the victim’s body.

The victim was identified by the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office as Davis. .

The second motorcyclist and their passenger were both transported to Stanford Medical Center with major injuries.

The operator of the BMW and their passenger had left their vehicle and walked westbound on the bridge.

The CHP is investigating the incident.
