Angelica Gonzalez  Identified as Woman Killed in Gardena Accident on Redondo Beach Boulevard and Vermont Avenue

Gardena, California – Angelica Gonzalez, 30, has been identified by the police as the woman who died following a fatal Gardena car accident that occurred at the intersection of Redondo Beach Boulevard and Vermont Avenue on Saturday morning.

Isaiah Lono, 19, of Hawthorne, was arrested on multiple charges following the deadly crash that was reported at around 11:50 a.m. August 29.

According to investigators, Lono allegedly stole a 2018 Dodge Ram 3500 from outside an auto shop and collided with a vehicle driven by Gonzalez after running a red light at the intersection.

Gonzalez was rushed to Harbor UCLA Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries. 

Lono attempted to flee the after the crash but was arrested and charged with murder, hit-and-run, grand theft, and driving with license suspended or revoked. 

The incident is under investigation.
