1 Killed in Big Rig Collision at Highway 37 and 121 in Sonoma County

Sonoma County, California – One person was killed in a big rig collision at the intersection of Highway 37 and Highway 121 in rural Sonoma County Monday morning.

A big rig driver was traveling westbound on Highway 37 toward Highway 121 when he failed to see a red Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and Subaru Outback.

The California Highway Patrol said the two vehicles were preparing to turn left from southbound Highway121 to eastbound Highway 37.

The semi-truck driver tried to stop to avoid hitting the two vehicles but crashed into the driver-side door of the pickup.

Due to the impact of the crash, the pickup was pushed into the front end of the Subaru which spun into the lanes of Highway 37.

The incident took place at around 6 a.m. on August 24.

The Toyota then crashed into a cement center divide at the intersection.

Emergency personnel responded to the crash and performed life-saving measures to the pickup driver, but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported in the collision.

All westbound lanes of Highway37 were closed following the crash at Mare Island and reopened at around 11:45 a.m.

The CHP is investigating the incident.

Swift action by an intelligent and experienced attorney is imperative in order to preserve evidence, interview witnesses and immediately begin pursuing any and all responsible parties.”

“Usually, clients hire me immediately after their first consultation because they quickly figure out that I will treat them like family. I lift a weight off their shoulders immediately. That is my job. We simply leave no stone unturned – period. We go after everyone and everything. There is no other way to ensure justice,” Mr. Khodaverdian states.

While Mr. Khodaverdian does not represent any of the parties involved in this incident, he has recovered over $100 million for thousands of injury victims and their families. “In one case, we were able to recover a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim killed by a negligent driver. We have numerous other 6-figure settlements within 30 days. While these results are atypical and do not predict future outcomes, justice in these cases helped bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the families.”
