Oakdale Woman Heather Hill Injured in Merced County Crash on Turlock and Oakdale Roads

Merced County, California – 25-year-old Oakdale woman Heather Hill sustained major injuries following a deadly Merced County Accident that happened in the area of Turlock and Oakdale roads Sunday night, CHP said.

The accident left Drayden Drake, 7, of Oakland dead and at least four other people injured.

At around 9:20 p.m. August 23, CHP said Tasjuan Drake, 28, of Oakdale was driving a 2011 Cadillac SUV north on Oakdale Road when he collided with a 2013 Ford Fusion traveling eastbound on Turlock Road.

The Ford was being driven by Catherine Brehm, 58, of Coulterville.

The 7-year-old boy was a passenger in the Cadillac. He was transported to Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, where he was pronounced deceased.

Tasjuan Drake and Heather Hill, 25, of Oakdale, who also was a passenger in the SUV, were both taken to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto with major injuries.

A 2-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl were also passengers in the SUV. The two were transported to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera for treatment of moderate injuries.

The CHP is investigating the crash.

Wrongful death and personal injury attorney Arin Khodaverdian, President and Managing Partner of Alpine Law Group, urges accidents victims and their families to immediately seek legal assistance. “Those who are affected by tragedy have rights, but they must act quickly in order to preserve those rights to the full extent of the law. Often, swift action by an experienced attorney is imperative in order to preserve evidence, interview witnesses and immediately begin pursuing any and all responsible parties.”

While Mr. Khodaverdian does not represent any of the parties involved in this incident, he has recovered over $100 million for thousands of injury victims and their families. “In one case, we were able to recover a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim killed by a negligent driver. While this result is atypical and does not predict future outcomes, justice in this case help bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the family.”
