83-Year-Old Benito So Jr Killed in Los Angeles Crash on Foothill Boulevard

Los Angeles, California – Benito So Jr has been identified as the 83-year-old man who was killed in a Tujunga hit-and-run crash that happened in the 7100 block of Foothill Boulevard at around 1:45 a.m. Monday.

According to a report by the Los Angeles police, two vehicles were involved in the crash.

The two reportedly collided when one driver, identified as Davit Davtyan, 21, of Los Angeles, was heading north on Foothill Boulevard.

Davtyan lost control and crashed into a parked vehicle.

Benito So Jr was in the parked vehicle when it was struck. Police believe So Jr was homeless and sleeping in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

So Jr was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Davtyan fled after the crash but later returned and was arrested. He was booked on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter.

Los Angeles police are investigating the collision.
