Deadly Oro Grande Car Collision on National Trails Highway

Oro Grande, California – The California Highway Patrol responded to a deadly Oro Grande car collision on National Trails Highway that left one person dead and another injured.

The crash involved a brown 2018 Toyota Highlander and a 1991 Honda Civic.

The Honda overturned in the middle of the highway, and the Toyota ended up on the shoulder.

CHP said the accident was reported Sunday morning at around 6:00 a.m. near Bryman Road.

The female driver of the Toyota was pinned inside the vehicle after the crash and extrication was needed. The victim was airlifted by helicopter REACH-43 to the hospital for treatment.

The Honda driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity was not released.

CHP shut down the highway in both directions as they investigated the incident.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Anyone with additional information regarding the incident is requested to call Victorville CHP at 760-241-1186.
