Melissa McCullough, Donte Turner Injured in Tuolumne Collision on North Fork Road

Tuolumne, California – Melissa Ann McCullough, 33, and Donte Rashawn Turner, 25, both of Copperopolis, were among victims injured in a traffic collision on North Fork Road in Tuolumne Thursday afternoon, the authorities said.
They were both passengers in a 2012 Toyota Yaris driven by Kayla Marie Dickerson-Childres, 20, of Merced.
CHP said the Toyota was heading south on North Fork Road at about 4:05 p.m. July 30, when it entered a left-hand curve in the roadway.
The Toyota went across the solid double yellow lines and collided with an oncoming 2007 Dodge Ram, driven by Brian Edward Finigan, 59, of Sonora.
Melissa and Donte sustained moderate injuries and were both transported to Adventist Health Sonora.
Abel William McCullough, 2, of Copperopolis, was also a passenger in the Toyota. He was airlifted to Doctor’s Medical Center in Modesto with major injuries.
Dickerson-Childres sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention.
Finigan and his passengers were unhurt.
According to the report, the child passenger safety seat that Abel was using had been improperly installed in the vehicle.
The crash is under investigation.
