22-Year-Old Davis Man Seriously Injured in Sonoma County Accident at Highway 116 and Stage Gulch Road

Sonoma County, California – A 22-year-old Davis man was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after being involved in a head-on collision on Sunday night in Sonoma County.

The accident happened at the intersection of Highway 116, also known as Lakeville Highway, and Stage Gulch Road at around 10:23 p.m.

According to the California Highway Patrol, 37-year-old David Aspegren Jr., a resident of Ashford, Connecticut, was driving a Chevrolet Impala southbound on Highway 116 when, for unknown reasons, allowed his vehicle to cross to oncoming traffic.

The Impala then collided head-on with a Ford Focus driven north on Stage Gulch Road by the Davis man.

Following the impact of the crash, the Ford driver was pinned inside and was rescued by the emergency crew. He sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Aspegren was taken to Memorial Hospital by an ambulance with unspecified injuries.

He was treated and released.

CHP said Aspegren was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs causing great bodily injury, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

“Usually, clients hire me immediately after their first consultation because they quickly figure out that I will treat them like family. I lift a weight off their shoulders immediately. That is my job. We simply leave no stone unturned – period. We go after everyone and everything. There is no other way to ensure justice,” Mr. Khodaverdian states.

While Mr. Khodaverdian does not represent any of the parties involved in this incident, he has recovered over $100 million for thousands of injury victims and their families. “In one case, we were able to recover a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim killed by a negligent driver. We have numerous other 6-figure settlements within 30 days. While these results are atypical and do not predict future outcomes, justice in these cases helped bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the families.”
