Waterford Man Killed in Merced County Motorcycle Accident at West Bradbury Road and Merced Avenue

Merced County, California – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a motorcycle accident that occurred Tuesday at an intersection in Merced County leaving one person dead.

The crash scene is at West Bradbury Road and Merced Avenue, just north of Delhi.

At around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, the CHP responded to a crash involving a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle and a Ford Escape SUV.

The first responders found the motorcyclist lying down in the roadway.

Riggs Ambulance Service and firefighters offered first aid to the victim, but their efforts were not successful. The rider, only identified as a 38-year-old Waterford man, was pronounced dead.

An initial investigation revealed that the motorcyclist was heading west on West Bradbury Road at a speed of about 55 mph approaching the intersection with Merced Avenue.

At the same time, the driver of the Ford, 51-year-old Ralph Saxton, of Modesto, was heading east on West Bradbury Road at about 55 mph. Saxton turned left directly in front of the motorcycle, prompting a collision.

Officers said the Ford rolled over and came to rest on its roof. Saxton was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.

“Usually, clients hire me immediately after their first consultation because they quickly figure out that I will treat them like family. I lift a weight off their shoulders immediately. That is my job. We simply leave no stone unturned – period. We go after everyone and everything. There is no other way to ensure justice,” Mr. Khodaverdian states.

While Mr. Khodaverdian does not represent any of the parties involved in this incident, he has recovered over $100 million for thousands of injury victims and their families. “In one case, we were able to recover a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim killed by a negligent driver. We have numerous other 6-figure settlements within 30 days. While these results are atypical and do not predict future outcomes, justice in these cases helped bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the families.”
