Gabrielle Delong Dies in 2-Car Crash at Pond and Melcher Roads
Bakersfield, California – The woman who was killed after two vehicles collided Saturday night in Bakersfield has been identified by the authorities.
Gabrielle Bay Delong, 34, was killed in the collision that took place at the intersection of Pond and Melcher.
At around 11 p.m. July 11, 23-year-old Juliet Parrilla was driving northbound on Melcher when she ran a stop sign and broadsided a Ford Fusion traveling westbound on Pond.
The impact of the collision caused the Ford to strike a power pole, trapping the driver inside. Delong was driving the Ford and was declared dead at the scene.
Parrilla sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Kern Medical Center for treatment.
Neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be a factor in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.

Swift action by an intelligent and experienced attorney is imperative in order to preserve evidence, interview witnesses and immediately begin pursuing any and all responsible parties.”
“Usually, clients hire me immediately after their first consultation because they quickly figure out that I will treat them like family. I lift a weight off their shoulders immediately. That is my job. We simply leave no stone unturned – period. We go after everyone and everything. There is no other way to ensure justice,” Mr. Khodaverdian states.
While Mr. Khodaverdian does not represent any of the parties involved in this incident, he has recovered over $100 million for thousands of injury victims and their families. “In one case, we were able to recover a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim killed by a negligent driver. We have numerous other 6-figure settlements within 30 days. While these results are atypical and do not predict future outcomes, justice in these cases helped bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the families.”
