Gregory Welch Killed in Collision on South Sepulveda Boulevard in Culver City

Culver City, California – The Authorities have identified a Lakewood man who died Wednesday following an early Tuesday morning collision in the 6800 block of South Sepulveda Boulevard, near Howard Hughes Parkway in Culver City.

Gregory Welch, a 63-year-old Lakewood man, is the victim who died in the fiery crash.

Authorities received a report of the collision at about 5:20 a.m. on July 7.

L.A. city firefighters responded to the accident and found one of the vehicles fully engulfed in flames. A second vehicle was overturned following the impact.

Welch was riding in the overturned vehicle and was pronounced dead at the site of the collision.

The man who was operating the vehicle that caught fire was found outside by the firefighters after he was helped out by Good Samaritans. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

A preliminary investigation showed that alcohol was suspected to be a factor in the incident.

The Culver City Police Department is investigating the incident.

Arin Khodaverdian, CEO and Managing Attorney of Alpine Law Group, urges accidents victims and their families to immediately seek legal assistance. “Those who are affected by tragedy have rights, but they must act quickly in order to preserve those rights. Swift action by an intelligent and experienced attorney is imperative in order to preserve evidence, interview witnesses and immediately begin pursuing any and all responsible parties.”

“Usually, clients hire me immediately after their first consultation because they quickly figure out that I will treat them like family. I lift a weight off their shoulders immediately. That is my job. We simply leave no stone unturned – period. We go after everyone and everything. There is no other way to ensure justice,” Mr. Khodaverdian states.

While Mr. Khodaverdian does not represent any of the parties involved in this incident, he has recovered over $100 million for thousands of injury victims and their families. “In one case, we were able to recover a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim killed by a negligent driver. We have numerous other 6-figure settlements within 30 days. While these results are atypical and do not predict future outcomes, justice in these cases helped bring about closure and a swift sense of justice for the families.”
