Rapper Hurricane Chris Arrested and Charged after Louisiana Fatal Shooting

Rap Artist Hurricane Chris Face Murder Charges following Louisiana Shooting

Rapper Hurricane Chris was arrested on a murder charge Friday following an early morning shooting at a gas station, according to the authorities.

Police officers said the rapper claimed self-defense after shooting a man whom he thought was attempting to steal his car.

However, a video footage showed a different scenario from what the 31-year-old rapper, whose actual name is Christopher Dooley Jr., said and the car he was in had also been reported stolen from Texas.

The incident happened 1 a.m. Friday when officers responded to a shooting at a gas station in Shreveport. They found one person suffering from several gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced death at a hospital.

The Shreveport native is best known for his 2007 album “51/50 Ratchet,” which includes his hit single, “A Bay Bay.”
