Lewiston, California – A woman was seriously injured in a head-on collision in Lewiston, Trinity County, on Friday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 4:40 p.m. June 12, on Highway 299 near Trinity Dam Boulevard.
34-year-old Rosemarie Cantero, of Junction City, was driving a 2011 Acura MDX westbound on Highway 299 when she lost control and collided head-on with an eastbound 2000 Ford F-350 driven by 55-year-old James Dean.
Cantero was seriously injured while her 1-year-old baby was unhurt.
Dean and his passenger, 40-year-old Jesse Ortega, both of White City, Oregon, sustained moderate injuries in the accident.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
