Desert Hot Springs, California – A man died in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred in Desert Hot Springs, Riverside County, on Saturday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened on Highway 62 at around 2:30 p.m., June 13.
As per the report, a Chrysler Town & Country minivan driven by a 37-year-old man collided with Ford Flex driven by a 71-year-old Winterhaven man.
The impact of the crash sent the minivan into the southbound lane of the highway, where it collided with a Mini Cooper driven by a 30-year-old man from Yucca Valley.
The Mini Cooper then Collided with a Jeep Cherokee operated by a 72-year-old man.
The driver of the minivan suffered critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
A passenger in minivan was also hospitalized with serious injuries.
The other drivers and several passengers in the minivan suffered minor injuries.
The names of the victims were not disclosed.
The accident remains under investigation.
