Red Bluff, California (June 4, 2020) – 26-year-old Daniel Bruno has been identified as one of the two people who were killed in a collision in Red Bluff on Monday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened at about 4:27 p.m. June 1, on Paskenta Road near Rancho Tehama Road.
Bruno was driving a 2001 Honda Civic southbound at a high rate of speed when he lost control and drifted into the northbound lanes.
The Civic then collided head-on with an oncoming 2003 Ford E250 utility van.
Bruno and a female passenger in the Honda were killed in the accident.
The driver of the Ford is reported to have exited his vehicle after the collision and fled the scene.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
