Oklahoma City Woman Arrested for Allegedly Shooting Fast-food Worker

Customer Shoots McDonald’s Employee after Being Told to Leave due to Coronavirus Restrictions

A woman was arrested for allegedly shooting a fast-food employee and injuring others after they asked her to leave a McDonald’s restaurant in Oklahoma City Wednesday.

According to the authorities, Gloricia Woody, 32, entered the restaurant that evening despite the dining area being closed due to the coronavirus restrictions.

Woody was asked to leave by the employees, but she refused and got into a scuffle with one of them. The employees eventually forced her out, but she got back into the restaurant with a handgun and fired around three rounds.

One employee was shot in the arm while the two others were struck by shrapnel. A fourth worker, the one who was in the initial scuffle, sustained a head injury, though it was not immediately clear how.

Three of the employees were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Woody was arrested Wednesday and was being held on preliminary charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
