Corona, California – The authorities have disclosed the identity who was killed in a collision that happened early Monday morning on Riverside (91) Freeway in Corona.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 2:40 a.m. May 4, in the westbound lanes of 91 Freeway near Smith Avenue.
37-year-old Chandra Woods of Victorville was driving a 2020 Toyota Camry westbound on the freeway when she stopped suddenly for unknown reasons.
A Hino box truck that was traveling behind the Toyota was unable to stop and crashed into the stalled car.
Woods was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to Riverside Community Hospital where she died while undergoing treatment.
A passenger in the Toyota, 27-year-old Marcus Reeves, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center for treatment.
The truck driver was unhurt.
