Jasmin Morales ID'd as Woman Hit and Killed by Vehicles after Assaulting Uber Driver on 118 Freeway in Mission Hills


Mission Hills, California – 21-year-old Jasmin Recendiz Morales, of Los Angeles, has been identified as the woman who was struck and killed by a 2008 Nissan Altima after she ran onto the active freeway in Mission Hills on Saturday.

The fatal accident happened on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway at around 12:30 a.m., April 10.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Morales was riding in a Uber when she started assaulting the driver for unknown reasons.

The Uber driver then pulled over onto the right shoulder of the freeway and got out of the car when Morales then jumped into the driver’s seat and attempted to drive away.

The Uber driver took the keys out of the ignition and pulled Morales out of the car, but she continued attacking him.

The Uber driver managed to get back to his vehicle and drove away.

Morales then ran onto traffic and was struck by a 2008 Nissan Altima.

Morales was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Uber driver was treated for minor injuries sustained during the attack.

Police are investigating the incident.
