Long Beach, California – A 23-year-old man was arrested after crashing his car into a parked vehicle in Long Beach, killing a woman, on Saturday.
According to a local news source, the deadly collision happened on Canal Avenue just south of Ester Street at about 4:40 p.m., April 11.
Eric Munson, a resident of Long Beach, was driving a 2003 Nissan Altima northbound on the highway when he crashed into a 2003 Nissan Altima.
The impact of the collision pushed the Tercel into the rear of a parked semi-truck.
A 56-year-old woman from Rancho Dominguez, who was sitting in the Tercel, was killed in the accident. Her name was not immediately disclosed.
Munson got out of his vehicle and attempted to flee but was apprehended and arrested by officers. He was booked in Long Beach City jail on suspicion of DUI.
