Gov. Cuomo Say Coronavirus Pandemic not Ending Soon

New York Governor Tells People not to Expect COVID-19 to End Soon

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo asked residents in his state Tuesday to lower their expectations on the time when the new coronavirus crisis would come to an end.

Cuomo made this remark as New York fought 75,795 confirmed coronavirus cases, becoming the most affected in the US. The virus had killed 1,550 people across the state, and there was only one county left that had not yet reported a positive test.

Cuomo’s brother, Chris, an anchor, was among the latest New York state residents to test positive for the new coronavirus. Cuomo acknowledged his brother’s diagnosis Tuesday and said that he was fine and was self-quarantining in his basement at home.

On the positive side, Cuomo stated that the rate of COVID-19 patients being discharged from hospitals had risen in the last week.
