Fresno, California – Two people were injured in a fiery multi-vehicle collision that occurred near Chestnut in Fresno on Saturday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 180 near Highway 168 at about 8:30 p.m. March 28.
A suspected DUI driver is reported to have rear-ended a car on the highway for unknown reasons. The collision triggered a seven-vehicle chain-reaction collision.
The driver was taken to CRMC with major injuries. The authorities said the driver, whose identity was not immediately disclosed, will be taken to the Fresno County Jail once he’s released from the hospital.
A second person was injured in the accident and was taken to a Selma hospital with minor injuries.
