Police in North Carolina Nab Stolen Trailer Full of Toilet Paper
With nearly everybody in the US fighting over a single precious roll of toilet paper due to the coronavirus pandemic, North Carolina police uncovered approximately 18,000 pounds of commercial bathroom paper products that were inside a stolen tractor-trailer Wednesday.
Police officers stated that they could not release the name of the driver because the topic of toilet paper was still susceptible to the public.
According to a news release, the 53-foot Hyundai dry-van trailer had been stolen locally and was used to transport the commercial bathroom paper products. Police followed the trailer to a warehouse a short distance off the highway, where they determined that it had been stolen.
The authorities said that no arrests had been made because the shipment was lawful. But the driver was a suspect in the theft of the trailer.
