Nevada County, California – Two people sustained major injuries in a suspected DUI car accident that happened in Grass Valley, Nevada County, on Sunday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Nevada City Highway.
26-year-old Marc Anthony Larkins was driving a white Ford F-150 on the roadway when he drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a Honda CR-V.
The 66-year-old driver of the Honda was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to a Roseville hospital.
The 22-year-old passenger in the Honda was also injured in the accident and was taken to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for treatment.
A 19-year-old passenger in the Ford F-150 was also hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
Larkins was arrested on suspicion of DUI and was booked into the Nevada County Jail.
No additional information was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
