Canadian PM’s Wife Tests Positive for Coronavirus

The Prime Minister Will Be Placed in Precautionary Self-Quarantine


Canadian Prime Minister’s wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, has tested positive for coronavirus after returning from Britain on Wednesday night.

According to a statement released by Justin Trudeau’s office on Thursday night, the first lady exhibited mild flu-like symptoms, including a low fever, after her visit.

The office said the Prime Minister, who exhibited no symptoms, will be placed will be in isolation for a planned period of 14 days as a precautionary measure.

The doctors say there is no risk to those who have recently been in contact with the prime minister.
