California Federal Prosecutor and Wife Dead in Murder-Suicide

A federal prosecutor and his wife were found dead in their home in an apparent murder-suicide incident on Sunday in California, according to officials.

43-year-old Timothy Delgado, an Assistant US Attorney, severely shot his wife, Tamara Delgado, 45, before he proceeded to shoot himself.

Detectives responded to the incident scene and closed down the area nearby to conduct a homicide investigation.

Delgado was a prosecutor for the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California. US Attorney McGregor Scott acknowledged that they received the horrifying news of Delgado’s death.

The couple, who were married in November 2019, was found dead by the police after Tamara’s mother called the police to request for a welfare check.

According to a friend, Tamara Delgado was a loving mother to her daughter and son.

The authorities are still investigating what prompted the shooting and the possible motive.
