California Senator Kamala Harris Endorses Joe Biden for President
On Sunday, California Senator Kamala Harris endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden as the US presidential candidate for the Democratic Party in a video that was released on her Twitter account.
Harris’ announcement is a boost for Biden. On her Twitter Post, the senator said, “Biden has served the country with great dignity and this is the time we need him more than ever.”
Harris ended her presidential campaign in December and is the sixth former rival to endorse Mr. Biden since the former president’s great victory in the South Carolina Primary.
Former South Bend, Ind. Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Senator Army Klobuchar, and former Texas Congressman Beto O’Rourke endorsed Biden before Super Tuesday.
Former New York Mayor, billionaire Mike Bloomberg, endorsed him on Wednesday after he dropped out of the race while former Massachusetts governor, Deval Patrick, endorsed him on Friday.
Biden has always heaped praise on Harris since when she dropped out of the presidential race.
Meanwhile, the liberal Massachusetts senator, Elizabeth Warren, dropped out on Thursday and has not yet announced an endorsement.
