San Diego, California – 21-year-old Brescia Ayon of Tijuana was killed in a pedestrian accident at an intersection in Otay Mesa on Thursday morning.
According to a local news source, the accident happened at Otay Mesa Road and Otay Mesa Center Road at about 9:15 a.m. March 5.
Ayon was walking was southbound across Otay Mesa Road when she was hit by a silver Nissan Altima that was traveling westbound.
Ayon was pronounced dead at the scene by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Ayon was an employee at a fast-food restaurant a few hundred feet away from where she was hit.
The accident closed the westbound lanes of Otay Mesa Road from Brittania Boulevard to La Media Road.
No additional information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
