Elizabeth Warren Dropping Out of Presidential Race after Dismal Super Tuesday Performance
Senator Elizabeth Warren will drop out of the presidential race after her terrible Super Tuesday performance, according to a local news source.
Warren failed to win a single state and finished third in her home state of Massachusetts behind former Vice President Joe Biden, who won the primary, and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
The senator was expected to notify her staff of her decision sometime Thursday.
Warren’s decision follows those of former contenders; South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, and billionaire businessman Mike Bloomberg, who also dropped out of the race and endorsed Biden.
Warren is yet to mention who she will endorse.
On Super Tuesday, Joe Biden won 10 of the 14 states, and Bernie Sanders came second with 4 states, leaving Warren with no possible way to win the nomination.
