Lake Elsinore, California (February 21, 2020) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that happened in Lake Elsinore on Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on 15 Freeway near the Railroad Canyon Road/Diamond Drive exit.
A 2017 Subaru driven by a 45-year-old Lake Elsinore woman was traveling on the roadway when it reportedly made an unsafe turn and crashed into the rear of a 1999 Mercedes driven by a 69-year-old Lake Elsinore woman.
The impact of the collision sent both vehicles up an embankment where the Mercedes crashed into a freeway sign pole.
Both drivers were injured in the accident and were taken to Inland Valley Medical Center by ground ambulance.
