Up-and-Coming Rap Artist Pop Smoke Shot and Killed in Hollywood Hills Home
Rapper Pop Smoke was shot and killed Wednesday morning by a group of people who broke into a Hollywood Hills home in California.
Police said multiple people, including at least one wearing a mask and armed with a handgun, broke into the home and shot the rapper.
Authorities responded to the 2000 block of Hercules Drive to find the 20-year-old man with gunshot wounds.
The rapper, born Bashar Barakah Jackson, was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not yet determined whether the shooting was targeted or random. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the motive of the attack.
The exact number of suspects was not immediately clear, but it may be between tow and six, authorities said.
