Skydiver Killed in Hard Landing in Florida Monday, According to Authorities

A 49-year-old Georgia man with over 20 years of skydiving experience died during a hard landing in Florida.

Christian Stevens, of Canton, Georgia, was trying to avoid another skydiver as he landed Monday morning and ended up slamming into the ground, Sebastian Police Department said.

Stevens, a skydiving instructor, was rushed to Sebastian River Medical Center for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.

According to Team Fastrax, Stevens’ skydiving and performance group, the deceased was a husband, a father, and an Army Ranger.
