22 Civilians Killed in Attack in Cameroon

The Authorities said Fourteen of the Victims were Children

The United Nations has said fourteen children were among the twenty-two people who were killed in an attack in Cameroon last week Friday.

The country’s opposition party has blamed the government for the attack that happened in the village of Ntumbo in the Northwest Region.

A local official with the UN’s humanitarian coordination agency OCHA said 22 civilians, including a pregnant woman and 14 children, were killed in the attack. Eleven of the children were girls.

At least nine houses were set on fire by armed men.

Separatists groups have been fighting the government for more than three years.
