Pittsburg, California (February 17, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred early Sunday morning in Pittsburg, Contra Costa.
According to a California Highway Patrol report, the deadly accident happened just after 1 a.m. February 16, on Highway 4 at Loveridge Road.
A 33-year-old man was in the No.2 lane of the Loveridge Road off-ramp when he was struck by a 2013 Honda that was exiting eastbound Highway 4.
The man was killed in the accident.
The driver, a 36-year-old Livermore man, was unhurt.
The Honda driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The accident remains under investigation.
