Los Angeles, California (February 16, 2020) – A motorist died after colliding with a vehicle that was traveling the wrong-way on 405 Freeway in the Bel Air area of Los Angeles on Sunday morning.

The California Highway Patrol said an SUV was traveling south in the northbound HOV lane of the freeway when he collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle near Getty Center Drive.

The driver of the second vehicle was killed in the 2 a.m. accident.

The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.

No additional information was provided.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
