Bakersfield, California (February 16, 2020) – Former Bakersfield High School football player, Deion Nobles, was killed in a motorcycle accident on Friday night in Central Bakersfield.
Bakersfield Police said Nobles was riding a motorcycle on Chester Avenue at about 6 p.m. February 14, when he collided with a pickup truck for unknown reasons.
Nobles was pronounced dead at the scene by the authorities who responded to the incident.
The driver of the car, Torres Dawson, remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Mr. Dawson was later arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
No further information was provided.
The California Highway Patrol and Bakersfield Police Department are investigating the cause of the accident.
