Man Struck and Killed by Car on Highway 99 near Lathrop Road in Manteca, San Joaquin


Manteca, California (February 14, 2020) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle collision that occurred in Manteca, San Joaquin County, on Friday evening.

The California Highway Patrol said a 50-year-old man was driving his car northbound on Highway 99 at about 4:50 p.m. when he crashed into a concrete divider near the Lathrop Road offramp.

The impact of the collision ejected the man from the vehicle and was hit by another vehicle.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

No additional information was provided.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
