Sylmar, California (February 15, 2020) – Two women and three children were injured in a collision involving two SUVs in Sylmar on Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on 210 Freeway near 5 Freeway at about 2:10 p.m.
Los Angeles Fire Department officers who responded to the incident recovered two vehicles at the scene of the accident.
A 3-year-old boy who was ejected from his car seat during the collision sustained major injuries and was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
Two other children and two women were injured in the accident and were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
All eastbound lanes of the 210 Freeway were temporarily closed.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
