Fresno, California (February 14, 2020) – A police officer was injured in a collision involving a suspected DUI driver that occurred on Thursday morning in Fresno.
The accident happened at about 10:15 a.m. February 11, at East Oleander and South Snow avenues, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The officer was traveling southbound on Snow Avenue when he collided with a car that was traveling eastbound on Oleander Avenue.
The officer was injured in the accident and was taken to an area hospital in unknown condition.
The second driver was unhurt. However, the authorities determined that the driver was under the influence of controlled substances.
No additional information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
