Boy Injured in Bicycle Accident on Topaz Avenue in Ventura


Ventura, California (February 14, 2020) – An 11-year-old boy was seriously injured after being hit by a car on Thursday in Ventura.

Ventura Police Department officers responded to the collision between a bicycle and a car in the 1800 block of Topaz Avenue.

Although the events leading up to the collision were not immediately established, the officers confirmed that the juvenile cyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The driver, who stayed at the scene, told the police that he did not see the boy.

No additional information was provided.

Ventura Police Department’s Traffic Unit and the California Highway Patrol are investigating the accident.
