Alejandro Rangel Fatally Struck by Car at Las Palmas Avenue and Rio Linda Boulevard in Sacramento


Sacramento, California (February 12, 2020) – A pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Monday evening in Sacramento has been identified by the authorities as 46-year-old Alejandro Rangel.

The deadly auto-pedestrian accident was reported at around 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Las Palmas Avenue and Rio Linda Boulevard.

According to a California Highway Patrol report, Mr. Rangel was hit by a vehicle for reasons still under investigation.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and attended to the victim before rushing him to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Police are investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
