California (February 12, 2020) – According to a report by the Sacramento
Fire Department personnel, a man died after being hit by a tow truck in
south Sacramento on Tuesday night.
The accident was reported at about 8:30 p.m. February 11, on Fruitridge
Road near 49th Street.
The California Highway Patrol said a 64-year-old man had fallen down in the eastbound fast lane and was hit by a tow truck.
The flatbed tow truck was unable to avoid the
pedestrian who was wearing dark clothes.
The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office withheld the
identity of the victim pending notification of his next of kin.
and drugs are not believed to be factors in the collision.
