Concord, California (February 12, 2020) – A man who was struck by a car after he got off a bus on Monday
night in Concord, Contra Costa, has been identified as 18-year-old Joe
The California Highway Patrol officers
were called to the Port Chicago Highway on-ramp to eastbound Highway 4 at about
9 p.m. February 10.
The officers found Mr. Barrett down in the roadway with serious injuries. He was transported to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek in critical condition.
The motorist reportedly fled the scene after the accident.
The officers, however, later received multiple tips and were
able to locate a person of interest.
It is unknown if the suspect was arrested.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the cause off the accident.
